Bathroom / Sunken Slab

  1. It is a type of slab provided below our normal floor level in BATHROOMS, UTILITIES, LAUNDRY where a drainage system is installed
  2. A Sunken slab is provided to camouflage all the pipes below the floor level to avoid water splashing and to maintain the space’s artistic appeal.
  3. Generally, the slab is constructed at 20 to 30 cm depth from the standard floor level to install pipes and utility ducts.
  4. Installation of the formwork level of the sunken slab below the formwork level of the standard slab.
  5. Placing the reinforcement and tie them according to the design.
  6. Casting the slab (concrete should be dense and watertight) then curing it.
  7. A mixture of cement and waterproof material is sprayed on RCC sunken slab.
  8. A layer of plaster of cement mortar with mortar plasticizer is applied.
  9. Waterproofing Adhesive is used for fixing wall and floor tiles to improve Tile space, waterproofing and non-shrinkage.
  10. Join Sanitary pipes to avoid leakage of water using Special Sealant.
