Surface Preparation: Removal of Dust, Removal of paint, plaster, adhesive residues .
Decontamination: The flooring should be cleaned sing a scrubber with heavy-duty cleaner/degreaser and pressure wash the area.
Concrete Testing – the moisture content on slabs should be checked using a moisture meter. Special Treatment should be done if the readings exceed 4%. Any moisture vapor transmission issues such as bubbling of existing coating should be inspected.
Shot Blasting and Diamond Grinding: To remove old paint layers, Shot-Blasting and Diamond Grinding methods are used. A smooth surface profile is created and high spots will be knocked out.
A Hand Grinder with a dust shroud and vacuum is used in areas where the shot blaster or diamond grinder couldn’t reach. In order to avoid peeling and chipping, this method is carried out.
Coating Selection: Based on factors like Chemical Exposure, Temperature of water and chemicals, Slip Resistance and Sloping Requirements, Coating System is evaluated and matched.
Joint Caulking: Seals the joints in the floor and allows slight movement of the concrete slab. This step ensures that dirt and debris will not enter these areas, which helps to prolong the life of the floor coating.
Cure: Before exposing the area to traffic and chemical exposure, 24-48 hrs of cure is mandatory.
